Melanie joined Family Voices in spring 2026, bringing a blend of professional dedication and lived experience to her advocacy. She is a strong support for children and families navigating complex care systems, with a particular commitment to those in rural communities who often face additional barriers to access and support.
As the mother of two childrenโone with complex medical needs, including neonatal stroke, hemiplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and intellectual disability, Melanie offers a compassionate perspective.
Beyond her role at Family Voices, Melanie remains actively engaged in her community through service on several boards and as an Ambassador for the Epilepsy Foundation of Wisconsin, continuing her dedication to advocacy, awareness, and meaningful systems change.
